They were harassing me! it really had me scared for a minute. They have called me 4 times in one hour

Would not leave me alone. calls twice, three times a day

State that I owe money but will not give a company name and just calls back to back if you don't answer, but say I owe money to someone.

I purchased a gift subscription for a friend over a year ago. I did not renew the subscription. I have called and formally requested that USA Today stop harassing me over renewing on 4 separate occasions during the past month. On each occasion, I have told them it was a gift for someone else, I am not renewing the subscription nor do I want a subscription for myself. I have formally called and requested they stop calling me 4 times. If I tell the rep who calls me to stop calling, they hang up and call back a few hours later. Since I last formally called USA Today and asked them to cease and desist, they have called me 18 more times (during the past 9 days) which I am now logging. They will normally harass me twice a day. Calls several times a day, leaves no message

so far today, I received a phonecall from this number. First call, they hung up when I answered (in the morning), and they called back about 4 pm. I did NOT answer the 2nd time, and they did NOT leave a message on my answering machine. We are on the national no-call list. WHY are we receiving these annoying calls?
